Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors!
We are the wildlife conservation charity established in 2002, initially by Steve and Terri Irwin, as a way to include and involve other caring people to support the protection of injured, threatened or endangered wildlife – from the individual animal to an entire species. Our projects include the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, The Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve, plus conservation projects to protect Tasmanian devils, Asian elephants, Sumatran tigers, Orangutans, Black rhinos, Cheetah and Sea Turtles.
Steve Irwin Day, 15 November 2013
Steve Irwin Day, celebrated each year on 15 November, is an annual international event honouring the life and legacy of the one and only Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. This day represents the many things Steve was passionate about, including wildlife conservation! Steve Irwin Day is the Wildlife Warriors’ major fundraising initiative each year, where we strive to raise much-needed funds and awareness to support Wildlife Warriors’ projects.
Anyone can help fundraise for Steve Irwin Day to raise much needed funds for the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. The Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital cares for over 7,500 sick and injured animals each year – donate or start your own fundraising page here:
Calling all Joeys!
Our Joey Ambassadors are a very special group of young people who show a real commitment to the cause. They epitomise the things that Steve was famous for and are the next generation to take us forward in conservation. Does this sound like you? You can register at:
