Wildlife Warriors Crew
Hannah started with Wildlife Warriors in February 2015. When you visit Wildlife Warriors, Hannah will greet you with a smile and answer all your questions on how they support the Wildlife Hospital.
Hannah loves to travel and just loves the Macaws, after seeing them in Brazil.
Jess joined our 'zoo crew' in July 2007 originally in our Admissions team before transferring to HR in December of the same year. She began her HR career as an administrative assistant before focusing on internal training and traineeships.
Jess has always had a passion for teaching and had been in Japan the year before she joined our crew teaching english. Working and studying hard over the past few years, Jess has now completed 4 qualifications through traineeships with TAFE and was the Manager of Training and Traineeship at Australia Zoo since June 2011.
After 8 1/2 years in the HR department ensuring that our staff had the very best in learning and development opportunities available to them, Jess transferred over to our charity Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors in May 2016. Jess is now in the role of Fundraising Manager and is dedicated to promoting our projects including our Wildlife Hospital and ensuring that the amazing conservation work they do can continue for many many years to come.
Emily started with AZWW in April 2014 as the Admin & Office Support. Emily has also taken on the role of Development Coordinator.
She has had previous experience in Events Management, admin sales and customer service in the fashion industry. Emily has had a lot of experience with our wildlife including rescuing and raising a Joey. Emily has a soft spot for one of our Koalas - Milo, that she is currently a sponsor for. She is so happy to be working for an organisation that actually makes a difference. Outside of the Zoo Emily enjoys Scuba Diving and travelling.
Community Engagement Coordinator
After volunteering for seven months with Willdlife Warriors, Jaigar became a fulltime member of the team in March 2016. Jaigar graduated from the University of Queensland with a dual degree in journalism and business managment, majoring in marketing.
Throughout her study, Jaigar jumped at every opportunity to learn, and experience the world. Jaigar worked as a camp counsellor for a summer camp in the United States, she completed a semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland and worked a ski season in Whistler, Canada. She has taken part in a "business in India" summer program, interned for a baked goods company in Atlanta, Georgia and has spent time volunteering at an Orangutan rehabilitation centre in Malaysia.
Jaigar is very excited to make a difference in conserving the planets wildlife and habitats, through Wildlife Warriors.
Ben joined the Zoo Crew in August 2016. Having 10yrs experience with not-for-profit organisations, Ben comes with a wealth of knowledge. "I joined the Zoo because of the conservation work being conducted and the results being achieved. I just wanted to be a part of that."
