Wildlife Hospital Wish List
Last year alone, the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital treated over 7,500 wildlife patients making it the busiest facility of its kind in Australia. The hospital is in urgent need of funding and supplies for its sick, injured and orphaned patients.
You can help us by donating to our wish list here.
More than 100 emergency phone calls are recieved every day during our busy season (spring / summer) but on average 100 calls are received every week
Up to 65 animals across 11 species are admitted to the hospital on a single day
Over 100 koalas are in care at any one time during busy seasons, with an average of 70 koalas coming through the hospital every month
The average cost to treat an animal is $380, however koalas are an exception costing on average $1,500 each
Our motto is save one, save the species. Your help will fund essential new equipment and medications for the our precious native wildlife.
Our work at the wildlife hospital could not be possible without the generous support of donors and sponsors, and we are constantly on the lookout for medical equipment and general supplies. Please take a look at these wishlists to see if you are able to donate either the goods themselves, or money to go towards their purchase.
