Help us help them this Trauma Season
It’s that time of year again, a time we all dread due to the significant increase in patient admissions at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital as a result of trauma. Whether they’ve been hit by a car, attacked by a domestic animal or orphaned and left to fend for themselves, our wildlife deserve a fighting chance at survival, and we’re here to give it to them!
The impact of Trauma Season is felt heavily throughout the Wildlife Hospital, with staff working around the clock to treat the many wildlife patients coming through our doors during the warmer months of the year from August to February.
This is the time where breeding wildlife are on the move, making them more vulnerable to injury as they go about their ways amidst the booming holiday season.
This is the busiest and most confronting time of the year for us; this is Trauma Season!
